Ageing Asia Pte Ltd has announced that the World Ageing Festival 2025 (WAF) will take place at the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre, Hall A, from 8-9 April 2025. The Festival is set to attract over 6,000 participants, including businesses, healthcare professionals, and innovators from more than 50 countries. With 120 exhibitors and 100 expert speakers, this year’s festival will highlight the Asia Pacific’s rapidly expanding US$4.56 trillion silver economy.

The theme of World Ageing Festival 2025—“Age of Longevity: Living Healthier, Living Happier”—is centered around the global longevity trend. It emphasises the shift from traditional care models to a focus on improving quality of life for older adults. As life expectancies increase, the goal is to not only extend life but also improve health span and reduce years of ill health, while promoting economic sustainability and the idea of a 100- year life. The festival will explore the evolving needs of older generations, focusing on health, independence, and purpose.
In celebration of SG60 and in line with Ageing Asia’s mission as a social enterprise to redefine ageing, we will debut Singapore’s First Seniors Cheerleading Team with a specially choreographed dance. Following the successful launch of Singapore Senior Drums in 2024, this initiative aims to inspire seniors to stay active and engaged. The cheer team will perform at various events, fostering a community where seniors empower one another. Their outfits are sponsored by ASPIRE55 Singapore and Nestlé Health Science.
Another key highlight of the Festival is the 16th Ageing Asia Innovation Forum (AAIF)—a highly anticipated segment that brings together global leaders, innovators, and experts to showcase cutting-edge advancements in eldercare, health, and wellness.
This year’s keynote speaker is Dr. Wendy Suzuki, a world-renowned neuroscientist, Dean of Arts and Sciences at New York University, and Professor of Neural Science and Psychology at NYU’s Center for Neural Science. At the Ageing Asia Innovation Forum, part of the 16th World Ageing Festival (8-9 April, Singapore), Dr. Suzuki will share ground-breaking insights on the impact of extending cognitive longevity to boost productivity and reduce caregiver burden, the benefits of investing in brain health programmes, and the five pillars of brain longevity. She will also discuss how social engagement can be used as a preventative strategy against cognitive decline. This is an exclusive opportunity to gain first-hand knowledge from one of the world’s leading experts in neuroscience and ageing.
Alongside the forum will also be the 13th Asia Pacific Eldercare Innovation Awards. This year’s awards will be graced by Guest-of-Honour Mr Tan Kiat How, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Digital Development and Information & Ministry of National Development, Singapore.
The Ageing Asia Innovation Exhibition will showcase the top 100 products and services designed to enhance successful ageing. Featured areas include Assistive Living, Home & Community Care, Healthcare, Active Ageing, Technology, Wellbeing, Rehabilitation, and Wellness Tourism. The 16th World Ageing Festival will feature a Career Showcase, organised by Ageing Asia, and supported by Workforce Singapore. This showcase aims to highlight employers and organisations that provide opportunities and support for individuals to extend their career pathways, including exploring new career paths.
Ms Janice Chia, Founder & Managing Director, Ageing Asia Pte Ltd, said, “This year’s theme, ‘Age of Longevity: Living Healthier, Living Happier,’ draws inspiration from the Chinese character ‘Shou’ (寿), symbolising longevity.
