The select invitees are Singapore’s Shannon Tan, America’s Danielle Kang, China’s Muni He and Miranda Wang.
Shannon Tan, who currently plays on the Ladies European Tour (LET), achieved her first professional victory at the Magical Kenya Ladies Open during her LET debut last year. Tan has broken several records as a Singaporean golfer, including being the first Singaporean to represent the country at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games and the first Singaporean female to make the cut at a major at the 2024 AIG Women’s Open. She ended the season ranked 6th on the LET Order of Merit.
Tan added, “Representing Singapore on such a global stage and competing against the world's best players is truly an honor. Playing in front of a home crowd makes this experience even more special and I am so grateful for this opportunity. My ultimate dream is to compete on the LPGA Tour, and this is a crucial step toward achieving that goal.”

Major champion Danielle Kang is set to return for her 11th appearance at the HSBC Women’s World Championship, where her best finish was tied second in 2018. A six-time winner on the LPGA Tour, Kang’s impressive career highlights include her major victory at the 2017 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship. She has also been a key member to four U.S. Solheim Cup teams.
Kang commented, “Singapore has always been one of my favorite stops on tour, and I’m really excited for another opportunity to compete at Sentosa. HSBC does an incredible job hosting us players, and the team at Sentosa keeps the course in great condition. I can’t wait to return next month.”
China’s Muni He will make her third appearance at the HSBC Women’s World Championship. She secured her first win on the Epson Tour in 2018 at the Prasco Charity Championship during her rookie year. Since joining the LPGA Tour in 2019, she has expanded her influence beyond the course, into fashion and has amassed an impressive social media following of nearly one million.
Miranda Wang made her debut at the HSBC Women’s World Championship in 2024 and is currently competing on the Epson Tour. Last season, Wang secured six top-10 finishes and earned a victory during her rookie year. Before her professional career, she was part of the HSBC Junior Golf Program.
Kee Joo Wong, CEO of HSBC Singapore: “We are thrilled to see the growing presence of Singaporean golf on the global stage, with two home grown talents competing together for the first time in the HSBC Women’s World Championship. This milestone reflects the exceptional skills being nurtured in Singapore and comes at the perfect time as we celebrate SG60. Through the HSBC Women’s World Championship, we have been dedicated to opening up a world of opportunity for women in sport and supporting the development of golf in Singapore. We look forward to welcoming fans from around the world to celebrate this exciting chapter at Sentosa Golf Club.”
These four players will join 15-year-old Singaporean amateur Chen Xing Tong, who secured a spot in next month’s HSBC Women’s World Championship after narrowly edging out Aloysa Atienza by one shot at the National Qualifying Tournament at Sentosa Golf Club. This will be her second appearance at the event after also winning last year’s national qualifier. She is determined to improve on her 62nd-place finish at last year’s edition.
