Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix 2022

Updated: Jan 27, 2023

Here are 5 reasons why you should've been at Singapore's Formula One Night Race, and why you should continue to do so next year.

1) Non-Stop action by the F1 Drivers & their cars

The Singapore race has had a 100% deployment of the safety car in the previous years. This year we continue that streak with a slightly wet track during the first 60 minutes of the race. We saw teams struggling with the decision on for the best time to deploy their slick tyres. Veterans pushed their cars hard & some overdid it, resulting in crashes and loss of positions. Sergio Perez (Red Bull) was penalised for not keeping a distance of ten car lengths from the safety car during lap 36 of the race and also was docked two penalty points for the infringement. He was reprimanded by race stewards after the night race and received a five seconds penalty for an incident on Lap 36. But the Mexican driver retained the win as he had finished seven seconds faster than second-placed Charles Leclerc of Ferrari.

2) TSS The Super Series & W Series side races

TSS The Super Series is raced in Singapore for the first time. It featured an exotic mix of supercars – combining three classes, GT3, GTM and GTC, in one – including the likes of Toyota, Lexus, Audi, Porsche, Aston Martin, Mercedes-AMG, Bentley, Lamborghini, and Ford Mustang.

This year also featured the W Series, which is a race that provides equal opportunities for women in the racing scene and eliminates the financial barriers that have historically prevented them from entering the motorsport.

3) Amazing Hospitality Options

Twenty3 suite has consistently been an excellent place to enjoy the action on the track, while chilling with great food, drink and entertainment.

4) Stunning Concert Performance Lineup

Marshmello, Black Eyed Peas, Westlife, Suede, TLC, WUKONG.... Need we say more?

5) Eat, Drink, Repeat!

Dining at its finest, cocktails at its best! Michelin star chefs & mixologists creating works of art which tickle the palate, as we lounge by the track watching the cars zoom past.
