KINETIC SINGAPORE PRESENTS K+ INSTGRM EXHIBITION

Featuring 13 local Instagrammers that explores the art of Instagram photography, this exhibition also marks a new milestone in the evolution of K+ Gallery as the curatorial space moves to a bigger unit within Scotts Square.



Singapore, May 2016 – K+ Gallery, curated by Kinetic Singapore and supported by Scotts Square, launches its final exhibition, titled K+ Instgrm Exhibition, at in its current space (#03-14/15) in the boutique luxury mall today (27 May 2016). The curatorial space that has brought noteworthy, new or under-the-radar artists to the forefront will move to a bigger unit within Scotts Square when the 20-day exhibition ends on 15 June 2016.


K+ Instgrm Exhibition explores the art of Instagram photography and casts the spotlight on 13 prominent Singaporean Instagrammers, who are selected with the help of respected homegrown street photographer, Aik Beng Chia, who is also a contributor of Everyday Asia’s Instagram.


With the rise of the ubiquitous smartphone, taking photos and sharing them online has become second nature for many people. However, it takes a keen eye for detail to raise Instagram phototaking to become an art form.


This exhibition showcases a collection of strikingly artful images in large print captured by these 13 Instagrammers. Each of them is chosen for their distinctive style and have amassed a total following of more than 500,000 followers, and garnering over a million likes on their social media.
