Nanyang Dao

Established in 2022, Nan Yang Dao was started by Malaysian Chef Jackson Chu with brothers Wee Liow and Vincent Liow and they specialize in dishes from different parts of Malaysia, such as Penang fried kway teow and Penang assam laksa.

Jackson came to Singapore about 10 years ago after working in Chinese restaurants in Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong. He has also worked as a chef with Star Cruises, where he learnt to cook a vast range of Malaysian dishes. Jackson’s experiences in Singapore include stints at the Sentosa Golf Club and Oasia Hotel, where he cooked both Asian and Western cuisines.

Malaysian cuisine embodies a rich fusion of diverse culinary traditions, and they are thrilled to share these authentic flavors with you. The star dish at the eatery is Penang fried kway teow. Almost ever table orders a plate; other hits are KL Hokkien mee and Penang assam laksa. Nanyang Dao is spreading its wings! They are excited to witness the soft opening of their 8th outlet, the vibrant East of Tampines, nestled perfectly within Century Square, and we were there to capture a spice of their grand opening spectacular with an entire array of mouth-watering dishes!

We sampled various dishes including the ⁠Mee Siam Ayam Goreng Berempah, Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng Berempah, Nanyang Mee Siam Rendang Chicken, Seleyang Big Bowl Curry Mee, Penang Fried Kway Teow, ⁠Nanyang Nasi Lemak (this is classic and simply delicious), ⁠Butter Polo Bun, Puff Pastry Egg Tarts, Nanyang Platter 6 person set (Large), ⁠Signature Trio Mini Noodles, ⁠Iced Milo Dinosaur (so cute) and Bear Iced Coffee (love it)! Their dishes are truly traditional with the right spice, texture and "wok hei", truly awesome!
