The array of yachts from international brands being showcased at the Singapore Yacht Show never fails to dazzle. Here are our top 3 favourites from the 2018 show:
Sanlorenzo SL78
SL78 is the brand new Sanlorenzo model, a planing motoryacht in fiberglass and entry-level line for SL’s planing fleet. It is the only yacht in its category to be made to measure according to its owner’s requests, like each Sanlorenzo since 1958.
The new SL78 is an expression of the brand’s DNA. The spaces have been redesigned to combine constant innovation and the finest traditions of Italian savoir-faire. Many new features are included, like a lower gunwale outside the saloon to allow more light to enter through the large windows, a solution that means the living area is better lit and owner and guests are given a real feeling of enjoying a home away from home. The steps of the access stairway on the outside upper deck are flanked by glass panels that seem to float in the air. The flybridge offers the most space of any motoryacht in this category.
The tender is stowed in the aft garage and is easy to launch, just as it would be in a large superyacht. Since its world debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2016, 13 units of this line have already been sold so far. We were told that a bigger and more luxurious yacht is in line to be showcased in Singapore. Stay tuned as we bring you the latest updates.
Azimut Yachts Grande 27 Metri (2018 Asia Premiere)
Designed by the expert hand of Azimut |Benetti Group leading designer Stefano Righini, this unique concept wide body superyacht creates perfect harmony between flowing lines and unparalleled volumes for the segment. The vertical bow and the big full-height windows, which rise from the hull and extend up into the superstructure to give the boat a sporty, edgy character.
The Azimut Yachts Grande 27 Metri presents a unique widebody concept in this category, with the owner’s suite on the main deck and the possibility of five cabins, in what is an almost unique feature for a boat this size. The full beam owner’s cabin has big windows that flood the spaces with light, while a full beam bathroom and a dressing room complete the setting. The crew too has plenty of space, with a crew mess, two cabins and two bathrooms. The spectacular lounge area in the bow can be thought of as a big sea terrace, offering an area for socialising and a sun lounging area next to it. On the fly bridge are the outdoor helm station, a dinette and a bar area, while the stern area can be furnished either as an open-air living zone or used as a sunbathing area with a hydromassage tub.
Sinuous lines and forms enhance contrasting colours and textures, through a skilful combination of woods that lend the spaces a uniquely contemporary feel. Salvagni’s signature style involves harmoniously flowing lines, with some critics drawing comparisons to Italian Renaissance art, in a contemporary interpretation: “the new Italian Renaissance”.The furnishings proposed by Salvagni for the Grande 27 Metri are unique items, designed and made to measure by expert craftsmen. Alternatively, the owner can opt for the architect’s own personal selection of design pieces that express Made in Italy excellence. The exterior furniture is also designed by Salvagni, achieving a harmonious continuity of style, colour palette and material that characterises the entire yacht.
Riva 76 Perseo
This yacht immediately strikes the eye for its sporty features and elegance, further enhanced by its colour shades. The new coupé is extremely sophisticated, and perfectly embodies the idea of ‘simple complexity’ that characterizes every single Riva yacht. Offcina Italiana Design has worked with the architects and designers of Ferretti Group’s ‘Interior & Décor’ team to conceive original furnishing solutions, combining the brand’s traditional materials – wood, lacquered surfaces, leather, and stainless steels – with mirroring surfaces and marble.
The fore area is characterised by a wide lounge. This is our favourite part of the yacht as it provides stunning photo opportunities to showcase the sleek and sporty lines of the yacht. A large sofa facing forward is located on the deckhouse, and can be sheltered by a small soft top and two large storage containers on the sides.
The interiors are dominated by teak, combined with the steel of furniture edges and several obsidian-shade lacquered surfaces, such as the frames of the glazing on the main deck and in the guest cabins. The mirror-effect laminate used for the bed bases is quite unique. LED lighting can be found throughout the yacht, including the by-now typical LED ceiling panels. All indoor Áoors, e[cept in the heads, are carpeted – a warm shade of grey melange with a jute base. Heads Áoor, in turn, are in a precious French marble
This is truly a stunning yacht which James Bond and Christian Grey will approve.
Head on down to ONE°15 Marina Club for the show this weekend!
