Singapore Yachting Festival 2024

Making a Splash with Unforgettable Yachting and Luxury Lifestyle Experiences

Beyond showcasing the best of luxury yachting in Southeast Asia, the Festival offers a peek into lavish experiences – fostering community engagement and solidifying Singapore as a prime destination for luxury.

Setting sail for a luxurious escapade into the world-class yachting scene, the Singapore Yachting Festival (SYF) is returning after a highly successful inaugural event in 2023. Hosted by ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove, the Festival will take place from 25 to 28 April, showcasing an extensive lineup of over 70 yachts, alongside an array of marine crafts, supercars, hydrofoil boats and more.

Testament to the Festival’s popularity, all booths and berths are fully subscribed, promising an unforgettable experience for yacht and luxury enthusiasts alike. SYF is a dynamic hub for the Southeast Asian yachting lifestyle, and is poised to ignite excitement among attendees with its exceptional showcase of luxurious experiences. Bringing together world-leading yacht builders, suppliers, and lifestyle brands, SYF serves as a platform for innovation and opulence in the yachting world and beyond.

Exclusive debuts and world premieres

The Festival boasts an impressive ensemble of over 100 yacht brands and marine suppliers. Among these is a notable increase in hybrid-capable vessels and cutting-edge technological innovations as compared to SYF 2023, emphasising the event’s pivotal role in spotlighting the latest advancements and trends within the maritime sector.

The ensemble also exhibits a shift toward sustainability within the industry, featuring eco-conscious designs, such as solar panel-powered electric motors of the Greenline 40, Magellano 60’s utilisation of Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil (HVO), and Wallywhy 200’s thoughtfully designed glass cockpit, allowing natural light and decreasing the need for electricity.

Adding to the excitement, the Festival features a significant number of premiers, including one world premiere and 19 premieres across Asia-Pacific, Southeast Asia and Singapore. This highlights the significance of the Festival for leading yacht brands in the world including a stellar selection of leading yacht brands and models such as Axopar, Azimut, Ferretti, Gulf Craft, Leopard, Princess, Sanlorenzo, and Sunseeker among others.

Notably, SYF also welcomes new brands to the Festival including Greenline, Wally, Dufour, Aquitalia, Yanmar, all primed to showcase their latest offerings alongside the innovative technologies and hybrid capabilities prevalent among this year’s participants.

Key highlights include:

● Azimut’s Magellano 60

AZIMUT WINS THE 2024 EUROPEAN POWERBOAT AWARD

The Azimut Magellano 60 was recognized as the winner of the European Powerboat

Award for the category of yachts up to 20 meters during boot Düsseldorf 2024

At Flagship Night, the nautical industry event organized by Boot Düsseldorf with the publishing house Delius Klasing on January 20th, the winners of the 2024 European Powerboat Award were announced, spotlighting the best boats tested by the jury during

the previous nautical year.

Azimut’s Magellano 60 is the winner of the “up to 20 meters” category. Presented for the first time at the 2023 Cannes Yachting Festival, the already award-winning Magellano 60 also amazed the jury of the European Powerboat Award, which is made up of authoritative international experts from the main European nautical publications. They explained their decision to award Azimut, stating that “the Magellano 60 impresses in the motor yacht class up to 20 meters. In addition to its successful visual appearance, the Magellano 60 is characterized by her newly developed hull, which ensures perfect handling at both slow and fast speeds. The workmanship and safety standards are also of the highest level”.

The Magellano 60, in fact, guarantees high performance with the efficient Dual Mode semi-planing hull, which cruises in total comfort at low speeds and can reach higher speeds, all the while mitigating the impact of waves and optimizing the yacht’s consumption and emissions. At just 60 feet, she is a true crossover of the sea, complete with all the comforts appreciated on long voyages. The elegant external lines traced by Ken Freivokh combine with the large spaces on board; the most characteristic part of the Magellano 60 is the stern, which is transformed into an Infinity Terrace with a transparent parapet that offers visual continuity with the sea. Additionally, the natural extension of the Main Deck to meet the cockpit helps to harmonize the experience of the yacht with nature.

Today, the Magellano 60 is also synonymous with reduced emissions, because she is the first boat in the Azimut fleet to run on HVO, the biofuel produced by Eni Live (Eni Sustainable Mobility) with 100% renewable raw materials*. According to the results of the tests carried out by the Shipyard, this biofuel, combined with the Dual Mode hull, supports high levels of performance and a reduction in well-to-wake CO2 emissions of more than 80% compared to a yacht of comparable size poweredby fossil fuels.

● CANDELA C-8

The Swedish-made Candela C-8 is the world's first 100% electric hydrofoil boat, which flies above the water, offering a quiet yet thrilling experience. Due to its efficient design, it is the firstelectric boat to combine a long range with high performance. Europe's best-selling electric boat will have its Asia-Pacific debut at the Singapore Yachting Festival.

In conjunction with the opening of Candela’s new APAC office. "Across Asia and the Pacific, from archipelagos to cities, we see a huge market and demand for new sustainable transport solutions that can reduce congestion and emissions. Our technology offers quicker journeys, lower costs for operators, and zero emissions," says Björn Antonsson, Candela’s newly appointed Regional CEO for Asia-Pacific.

Thanks to computer-controlled wings beneath the hull, the Candela P-12 Shuttle flies above the water surface at high speeds, which considerably reduces friction. It differs from all other fast ships – electric or diesel - by using a staggering 80% less energy than traditional ferries. Thanks to this, it’s the first fast electric ferry with long range – up to 100 km on one charge, at a speed of 25 knots.

When flying, it generates no waves or noise, and its outstanding energy efficiency drastically reduces operational costs compared to traditional ferries. Designed for multi-modal transport, the P-12 fits 30 seated passengers along with storage for bikes and luggage.

● A glimpse into innovative boating and marine technology

The Festival provides a preview of cutting-edge marine innovation and technology including the AirFish Wing-In-Ground (WIG) craft by ST Engineering AirX, which is a groundbreaking hovercraft-like vessel that utilises aerodynamic forces and air pressure generated between itself and a water surface to reduce induced drag and achieve a more fuel efficient, high travel speed. The 10-seater AirFish 8, which is slated for certification and entry into market by 2025, will be making an appearance at SYF.

Introducing a dynamic new concept: the Lifestyle Festival Market

This year’s Festival will also introduce a Lifestyle Festival Market, celebrating the diverse interests within the yachting community. The market will feature a showcase of pop-up alfresco stalls with food, beverages, and family-friendly carnival games. Attendees can also enjoy adrenaline-pumping demonstrations of the latest gadgets like jet-boarding, while rhythmic live music and captivating roving entertainment add to the ambiance.

The Festival’s offerings have also expanded to cater not only to seasoned yacht enthusiasts but also tofirst-time boat buyers. Alongside the main attractions, attendees can explore ancillary yachting equipment, including tenders and various recreational gear. Those interested in hands-on experiences with water toys can indulge in an experiential zone – also offering trials and sea trials aboard charter vessels, seabob-jet and speedboat rides, promising an unforgettable experience for all.

Mr Arthur Tay, SUTL Enterprise CEO and Executive Director, said, “The Singapore Yachting Festival serves as a cornerstone in revolutionising the luxurious yachting lifestyle. It symbolises ONE°15’s commitment to curating the absolute best of yachting innovation and unique lifestyle experiences in Singapore. With SYF, our mission is to ignite a fervent passion for yachting, elevating it into a lifestyle embraced by discerning
