For many pet owners, the perfect world is one where their furry companions can join them wherever they go. For a dog, that ideal world is one where it can always be by its human's side. One lucky pup, Whisky Windsor, recently experienced just that during an unforgettable weekend getaway at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Singapore Novena.
Whisky Windsor’s weekend staycation was nothing short of extraordinary, all thanks to this hidden gem that redefines the meaning of pet-friendly accommodation. Whether you have a dog, cat, or even a bunny, this staycation offers the ultimate escape for you and your furry companion. Starting from $350++ per night, you can enjoy a stylish 2D1N getaway in a chic standard room designed with both humans and pets in mind. The entire establishment caters for humans & pets in the most thoughtful ways!
The check-in process was effortless. The moment we stepped into the lobby, Whisky was eager to make his presence known, immediately trying to greet everyone in sight. After a brief overview of the hotel and its amenities, we were promptly guided to our room. Keycard in hand, we headed to our room. Whisky strutted his way down the hallway like he owned the place, and I couldn’t blame him. Why don’t all hotels do it like this? It was the perfect start to our stay, and I could tell my dog was already living his best life.
The studio suite was prepped with in-room pet amenities, including a comfy bed and water bowl for Whisky. The package also includes a welcome amenity box from Silversky, valued at $60, filled with treats and surprises. It’s not everyday you find a hotel that allows a dog to settle in quickly & comfortably.
We left the hotel midday for Whisky’s agility training, and it was a relief to return to such a relaxing ambiance after a long day. Despite the workout, Whisky was still bursting with energy. Luckily, the spacious studio suite gave him plenty of room for his zoomies, before he finally settled into a cozy spot for the night. Meanwhile, the $30 dining credit included in the pet staycation package came in handy for a night snack from Express Café & Bar.
After a restful night’s sleep, the next highlight was breakfast. There’s nothing quite like enjoying a meal with your loyal companion sitting by your side, making the experience even more special. With that, we were ready to take on a new day and explore nearby spots like Fort Canning Park or Botanic Gardens (UNESCO World Heritage site), which are just a short drive away.
Final Thoughts: As someone active in the dog community and part of the admin team at Singapore Westies Club, I can confidently say that while Holiday Inn Novena may not be the first name that comes to mind for pet-friendly stays, it certainly should be! This hidden gem strikes the perfect balance for those looking to enjoy the convenience of the city center while also embracing the tranquility of the city’s fringe. We hope to see more pets during our next visit after Whisky spreads the word to all his doggy friends!
